RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITY

Research and development activity has become part of our company’s DNA. It is related to the natural, safe, innovative and highly effective products we offer to our customers.

We carry out laboratory and industrial tests, which are, among others, related to development of recipes of innovative care products with the highest content of natural ingredients possible. We verify the level of efficiency of cosmetic preparations during biotechnological tests of new formulation prototypes and innovative tests with the use of biotechnological skin substitutes, Franz diffusion chambers, high resolution magnetic resonance imagining and Raman microscopy. We carry out preliminary industrial tests in order to refine the manufacturing technology in conditions of a pilot production line with the use of target devices (homogenisers) used in serial production of cosmetics. We initiate instrumental tests confirming that new formulations are efficient within the scope of performance parameters which are of the most importance for a cosmetic product, such as skin hydration and smoothing, wrinkles reduction and smoothing out, reduction of acne, safety for sensitive skin and UV protection.

As part of development works, each new product is subjected to the following tests whose aim is to make a safety assessment resulting in a Cosmetic Product Safety Report drawn up in accordance with the requirements of Annex I to Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council (EC) No. 1223/2009:

— microbiological tests carried out according to the following standards: PN-EN ISO 21149:2009, PN-EN ISO 22718:2010, PN-EN ISO 22717:2010, PN-EN ISO 18416:2009, PN-EN ISO 21150:2010, PN-EN ISO 16212:2011;

— challenge (performance) tests according to PN-EN ISO 11930:2012 standards;

— application research;

— dermatological tests.
